There is a RM1960 Series model for every need in your store. Bulky items in a shopping cart, a customer’s driver’s license at the returns desk, a mobile coupon at checkout, tiny barcodes in the jewelry department, OCR passport and airline boarding pass—the RM1960 Series can capture it all. The increased efficiency shrinks lines and keeps customers coming back again and again. And our unique Data Capture and industry-preferred management tools make it easier than ever to integrate, deploy and manage your scanners. The RM1960 Series—more data capture versatility, more range and more innovation.
Superior value. You can deploy a single scanner family for virtually every scanning need across our store

Count on RHINO MOBILITY performance to keep your lines moving

RHINO MOBILITY RM1960 set the bar for decode range, and you can count on the same “can’t miss” range from the RM1960 Series. The RM1960 can capture UPC codes up to 28 inches away, enabling checkout associates to easily reach items in a customer’s shopping cart without leaving the cashwrap. the Intelligent Imaging technology provide instant barcode capture on even the most challenging barcodes. And a patented rear engine design enables the RM1960 Series to read wider barcodes at every distance, compared to other scanners with a similar field of view. As a result, associates can focus on your customers, rather than positioning items.

RESETS THE BAR FOR VERSATILITY AND PERFORMANCE

Capture it all with the RM1960 Series

No matter what kind of data you need to capture in your store, there is a RM1960 Series model that is ready for the job. Scan 1D and 2D barcodes, whether they’re printed on a label or displayed on a phone. Capture DotCode and dotted DataMatrix barcodes through cellophane, as well as the tiny and dense barcodes found on jewelry tags. Read wide barcodes on packages and cartons in the backroom.

Day-in, day-out dependability

The RM1960 Series is engineered for durability, inside and out. IP54 sealing protects against spills, while a patented double-sealed optical system guards the critical optical components from dust and liquid—ensuring that the ‘eye’ of the scanner always captures the sharpest possible barcode image for fast and reliable decoding. The recessed scan window protects against smudges, dirt and scratches, which can impact performance. And the scanner is built to survive multiple 2 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles in our punishing tumble test.

High Performance Scanning

2D+Optical Character Recognition (OCR)Passport Scanning engine with accurate and fast scanning performance, not only can accurately read the barcodes on paper and commodities, but also has superior reading ability for barcodes displayed on various screens to meet the high-end scanning performance requirements.

On-the-fly switching between handheld and hands-free scanning

Simply place the scanner in the optional presentation stand to automatically switch to hands-free mode; then pick up the scanner for handheld mode—no change of settings is required.

Flexible feedback modes that work for any retail environment

The RM1960 Series offers multiple feedback modes including a good decode LED that’s visible from any position, a traditional beep tone with adjustable volume/frequency, and RHINO MOBILITY Direct Decode Indicator that projects the illumination on the barcode for instant visual confirmation of a successful scan.

Capture multiple barcodes with one press of the scan trigger

With Multi-Code Data Formatting (MDF), the RM1960 Series can scan multiple barcodes with a single trigger pull and transmit only the barcodes you need, in the order your application expects.

Single out one barcode from many

the RM1960 Series can capture and output only the preferred barcode, so workers no longer have to waste time physically covering nearby barcodes before scanning.

Diverse Scanning Feedback

with a highlight buzzer, LED indicator and motor vibration, scanning actions can be clearly indicated even in noisy environments.

Capture driver’s license data

With one press of the RM1960 scan trigger, cashiers can capture and parse data information on driver’s licenses to automatically populate a loyalty or credit card application, verify age for age-restricted purchases, process a customer’s return and more.

INDUSTRY-PREFERRED MANAGEMENT TOOLS

Effortless deployment

The RM1960 Series couldn’t be easier to setup. Right out of the box, the scanner is configured for the applications you use every day, while auto-host detect cables automatically select the right host interface—just plug in the scanner and you’re ready to go.

Easily deploy and manage all of your scanners

123Scan, a complimentary DataCapture tool, is intuitive enough for first-time users. You can easily create configuration barcodes to program scanners, update firmware or stage a large number of devices. If your scanners are in multiple locations across the country or around the world, you can use the complimentary Scanner Management Service to configure and update the firmware for any RHINO Series device that is plugged into a host. No depot staging or user action is required—such as the scanning of a configuration barcode.

DATACAPTURE —TRANSFORMING SCANNERS FROM THE INSIDE
