RHINO MOBILITY RM1962 set the bar for decode range, and you can count on the same “can’t miss” range from the RM1962 Series. The RM1962 can capture UPC codes up to 28 inches away, enabling checkout associates to easily reach items in a customer’s shopping cart without leaving the Cashwrap. the Intelligent Imaging technology provide instant barcode capture on even the most challenging barcodes. And a patented rear engine design enables the RM1962 Series to read wider barcodes at every distance, compared to other scanners with a similar field of view. As a result, associates can focus on your customers, rather than positioning items.

No matter what kind of data you need to capture in your store, there is a RM1962 Series model that is ready for the job. Scan 1D and 2D barcodes, whether they’re printed on a label or displayed on a phone. Capture Dot Code and dotted Data Matrix barcodes through cellophane, as well as the tiny and dense barcodes found on jewelry tags. Read wide barcodes on packages and cartons in the backroom.
Day-in, day-out dependability
The RM1962 Series is engineered for durability, inside and out. IP54 sealing protects against spills, while a patented double-sealed optical system guards the critical optical components from dust and liquid—ensuring that the ‘eye’ of the scanner always captures the sharpest possible barcode image for fast and reliable decoding. The recessed scan window protects against smudges, dirt and scratches, which can impact performance. And the scanner is built to survive multiple 2 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles in our punishing tumble test.

The RM1962 Series offers multiple feedback modes including a good decode LED that’s visible from any position, a traditional beep tone with adjustable volume/frequency, and RHINO MOBILITY Direct Decode Indicator that projects the illumination on the barcode for instant visual confirmation of a successful scan.

With Multi-Code Data Formatting (MDF), the RM1962 Series can scan multiple barcodes with a single trigger pull and transmit only the barcodes you need, in the order your application expects.

Easily deploy and manage all of your scanners
123Scan, a complimentary Data Capture tool, is intuitive enough for first-time users. You can easily create configuration barcodes to program scanners, update firmware or stage a large number of devices. If your scanners are in multiple locations across the country or around the world, you can use the complimentary Scanner Management Service to configure and update the firmware for any RHINO Series device that is plugged into a host. No depot staging or user action is required—such as the scanning of a configuration barcode.
